Ingredients
Revolution Barbecue Bird Brine
10-12 pound fresh or previously frozen turkey giblets removed
1 Large Brine Bag
Optional Seasonings black peppercorns, cinnamon stick, rosemary, thyme
Directions
In a large container, combine the entire bottle of Revolution Barbecue Bird Brine with 1 gallon of water. Place the turkey in a brine bag, breast side down, and pour the brine mixture over the bird. Add any optional spices for extra aroma and flavor. Seal the bag tightly and refrigerate for 1 hour per pound.
After brining, remove the turkey from the bag and rinse it thoroughly with cold water to remove any excess salt. Pat it dry with a paper towel, then let it sit uncovered in the refrigerator for 30 minutes per pound to air dry.
Once the turkey is prepped, it’s time to cook! Roast, smoke, or fry to your preferred doneness, then carve, serve, and enjoy the richly seasoned flavors.
